BUIC Cultural Shows

In 1981, a group of Indians at BU came together in hopes of creating a student group here at Boston University allowing people from all over the Boston area (not just India!) to meet and network. These students decided to name the club the Boston University India Club, even though everyone from the BU Community is welcome to join!
Over the course of the last 28 years the Boston University India Club (yeah its long, just call us BUIC for short) has grown into the largest group of South Asians on the East Coast. We're also the largest student cultural group on campus, with members from all over the world and from all corners of the United States! Every year we host meetings, community service events, free dinners, basketball tournaments, festivals, Garbafest, the largest Garba competition in the nation, and last but certainly not least, our two flagship cultural shows, each of which attract over 1000 people. These large productions have in the past showcased the best dancing, singing, and acting talent our diverse student community has to offer!
Although BUIC is the largest cultural group here at BU, we would crash, burn and disappear faster than pancakes on Sunday morning without the involvement of our members and our sponsors. We encourage everyone here at Boston University to come check us out. At the very least, being a member yields you a free show ticket and free food. But by being a member, we hope that you can gain new connections and a better understanding of the cultural backgrounds of the South Asian community. We would like to also thank all of our sponsors for their continued support. Without them, many of the cultural events that we host annually would never occur! If you're interested in getting involved, check out the Events Page for our upcoming events! If you have any comments or questions, please email us at BUIndiaClub@gmail.com
